Before your departure, please find some advises which will agreement your trip in Thailand. Your passport : All foreigners must own a passport with a validity date of at least 3 months starting from the entrance date into Thailand (visa free entrance) and 6 months for passport with visa. Guide books do not forget to have with you 2 guide books (Lonely Planet & "le Guide du Routard"). It might look useless and heavy but once in Thailand, it will become very usefull on place to find information not found in one of the guides.
Vaccination no vaccination is mandatory. However, it is highly recommnanded to be vaccinated against hepatit B and Typhoïd fever. As far as paludeism is concerned, Koh Chang is not an infected country and most often, simple mosquito repulsives spray or cream are sufficient. Please mind that antipaludeen treatments are more or less tolerated and can lead sometimes to indiserable effects. Drugs the classical set : anti fever (Doliprane in France) , intestinal treatment (Immodium, Smecta in France), bandage & blisters (Biseptine in France),anti mosquito spray and sparkling pills to purify water in non touristic areas.
