Koh Chang, “the island of the elephant”, is the second larger island of Thailand after Phuket. It is very close to the border of Kampuchea, in the province of Trat. with a little more than 300 kilometers in the south-east of Bangkok.
Rich green flora, wildlife and marine creatures, its most impressive beaches are located along its west coast. Going from north to south, the beaches are generally more isolated, less crowded and less expensive, such as sand Diamond (Diamond Sand) at the northern tip, and Hat Khlong Phrao Beach and Beach Hat Kai Bae center. Farther south is a lively enclave for young travelers, Lonely Beach, or Hat Tha Nam beach, where you can stay in a wooden house.
